The initial situation

The Bodrum peninsula on the Aegean Sea is the most popular vacation destination in Turkey. Fantastic bays, crystal-clear water and colorful schools of fish make the peninsula one of the most beautiful diving spots in Turkey. With a perfect summer climate, plenty of culture, activities and relaxing nature, Bodrum is a vacation paradise for all tastes. Enchanting sandy beaches attract guests from inland, all over Europe and many international stars to the "St. Tropez of Turkey". But the landscape, the nightlife, a marina and Bodrum-Milas International Airport also ensure a steady increase in tourist popularity. As a result, investment in hotel and mixed-use projects in Bodrum has increased significantly in recent years. One particular project that has emerged from this is "The Ritz-Carlton Residences", which was completed in 2020. The Turkish swimming pool dealer Sankurt A.S. has established a branch in Bodrum in addition to its headquarters in Istanbul in order to be able to complete the project in the best possible way. In collaboration with this important cooperation partner, SPECK Pompa Turkey was able to supply a total of 402 BADU pumps for "The Ritz-Carlton Residences".

The implementation

On a 126,000 m² private peninsula in the Tilkicik Bay of Yalikavak, 75 villas make up "The Ritz-Carlton Residences Bodrum". In a perfect location and with panoramic views of the Aegean Sea, the luxury of living by the sea is redefined. Divided into three types and equipped with individual options, each of the villas has its own heated pool, water basin, landscaped garden, sun terraces and a sun-protected lounge "cabana". With their natural materials and colors, the villas blend architecturally into the Bodrum landscape. Places of retreat where you can enjoy every conceivable amenity to the full. Other facilities include restaurants, a spa area, a water park for children, a swimming pond and much more.

The technology

The total of 76 pools, 82 water basins, the swimming pond and the water park are all operated with pumps from SPECK. 302 pumps from the BADU Prime series, 90 BADU Magic II/8, 4 BADU 46/22 and 6 BADU Resort 55 ensure cooling moments of well-being and fun in the water on the luxury estate. The pumps are all characterized by their ease of maintenance, durability and reliable performance. So the residents of the villas have no choice but to put their feet up and relax. All pools have a fully automatic filter system and are clad with two-centimetre-thick natural diabase stone tiles. 46 of the 75 villa swimming pools are infinity pools with a view of the sea. The remaining 29 are equipped with a skimmer and an 8.5 meter long and 1.8 meter high wall cascade. BADU Prime 30 and 25 pumps with external frequency inverters are installed there, making it possible to regulate the amount of water as required. In the water basins of the villas with infinity pools, there are six-metre-high and three-metre-wide wall cascades with two steps.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences Bodrum is an exclusive luxury resort located on the picturesque coastline of Turkey's Bodrum Peninsula. In 2013, Aksoy Holding laid the foundation for the investment in the ever-evolving Bodrum hospitality and residential sector by acquiring the 126,000 m² peninsula in the heart of Tilkicik Bay in Yalıkavak. The world-renowned South African architectural firm SAOTA, specializing in sophisticated villas and outdoor living, has designed the project on the peninsula, which already includes 75 luxury private units. The project, which began with the Epique Island brand, became The Ritz-Carlton Residences, the world's most luxurious hotel, resort and residence chain, as a result of agreements signed with Marriott International in July 2020. The Ritz-Carlton Residences Bodrum brings the brand's legendary service concept together with the villa owners.
